John D McCahill
President, American Market Access
John McCahill is an Economic Development professional with more than twenty years of industry experience. His Economic Development career began with the New Jersey Division of International Trade, where he served as Manager of Inward Investment for the State. He subsequently joined the Economic Development Department of a major US utility, where he managed a $30mm Economic Development Fund and an incubator supporting middle market international firms getting started in the US.
Early in 2001, John established American Market Access to continue working in the Economic Development field on an independent basis. Since then, he has worked on numerous Economic Development projects with EDOs throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Projects cover a wide range, from lead generation campaigns to organizing European trade show missions. In fact, he has participated in dozens of European trade shows and speaks what one native referred to as “remarkably good German for an American”. He has hosted many visiting delegations and has organized numerous international missions, including Ministerial-level Missions to Europe and Asia.
John has his undergraduate degree from Albright College, pursued his graduate studies at Lehigh University, and did additional coursework at both Stevens Institute of Technology and Rutgers University.
During the summer months, John is a lifeguard captain in the Beach Patrol of the town of Bradley Beach, NJ.
